Urban Decay & Architecture
in Detroit
This
one-day workshop is well suited for shooting Black & White images
of buildings "past their prime". Detroit is the home of many
glorious architectural structures and many structures that have been abandoned
and neglected. We will photograph both exteriors and interiors. Color
film will work with this subject matter, but to maximize the emotional
and psychological aspects, B&W film is recommended. Photographers
desiring to use a large format camera are welcome. Learn how to meter
using a one-degree spot meter to expose for shadow detail. The use of
a tripod is required. Students are expected to meet at the instructors
residence by 9:30 AM. Call (248) 471-7299 or e-mail bryce@mpw.com
for details.
