Certificate Programs
Midwest Photography Workshops offers nine certificate programs. Completion of any of the programs will mean the photographer/artist has demonstrated a mastery of that particular discipline. Homework, exams, and the creation and presentation of a portfolio are among the minimum requirements toward the completion of a certificate. Each certificate has a core group of classes and workshops designed to provide the student with a complete and diverse educational experience pertaining to that particular certificate

By enrolling in a certificate program, the student will get approximately a 20% savings in tuition as compared with enrolling in and paying for the same classes/workshops individually. Enrolling in four or more certificate programs equals a 25% savings as compared to taking and paying for the classes one at a time - ala carte.

Earning a certificate will demonstrate to a prospective client or employer, an ability to start and complete a large in-depth project. The resulting portfolio is an integral tool or proof that the photographer is capable of doing the job. Prior to enrollment, each student is given an assessment exam to quantify what they know. The results of this exam is used to customize an academic plan of how best to build upon what the talents and experiences the student already has and deliver the photographic education they need.

Upon completion of the classroom portion of the program, the assessment exam is re-administered to measure the progress achieved. Finally, an in-depth portfolio review is scheduled.

If you have enrolled in a Certificate Program and began taking classes and then wish to drop from the Certificate Program; Any refunds due will be calculated as follows: the full tuition will be calculated for all classes already completed or currently in session without any discounts applied. This amount will be subtracted from the total balance paid to date, this will be the amount of any refund given. Any and all fees that are paid to the on-line registration service ,Acteva Registration fees will not be refunded at any time, even in the event of cancelation by Midwest . These fees are paid to Acteva and not Midwest Photography. Midwest offers this service as a convenience to its students. Any student is welcome to pay by check or cash in order to avoid these fees.
