Policies and the details

This six-day digital workshop will provide participants an opportunity to photograph spectacular grand vistas of Aspen trees ablaze with color or Cottonwoods luminescent with the golden alpine light of October. Photograph the oldest living things on Earth; the ancient Bristlecone Pines (Around 4500 years old.) Photograph the best preserved ghost town anywhere. This gold mining town is at 8000 feet altitude so everything remains in a state of "arrested decay". Snow capped mountains, alpine lakes and tree lined canyons make for an unforgettable photographic experience. By the way, we go to Yosemite National Park also. This is tripod shooting!
The first four days involve six hours of shooting and three hours of classroom. The last two days is all field shooting. You will learn about batch file processing raw files, workflow management, Photoshop techniques including using Wacom tablets, Epson Printers, papers and inks, and many other digital techniques from Nikon photographer Vincent Versace, but all brands of cameras are welcome.
All lodging and ground transportation to and from the shooting areas is included airfare and meals are not included. Advanced registration is required. Students must bring a laptop computer and digital camera.
