This seven day seven-night workshop is conducted in historic Tuscany Italy. Stay in a recently restored 13th Century Monastery. Enjoy large spacious rooms and gourmet meals prepared with authentic Italian cuisine. This is wine country! Stroll and photograph in vineyards with grapes destined to make the best Chianti in the world.
Your shooting experience will take you to abandoned marble quarries from the time of Caesar. We will spend a day photographing at the place where the red clay is mined to make the terra cotta roof tiles and pottery. It has a barren, lunar appearance with nothing that could detract from the beauty of the human form. There are enough abandoned buildings, churches, monasteries and industrial buildings to have a limitless set of environments and backgrounds to photograph our models. Florence and Sienna is where the Renaissance took place. The church architecture, the vineyards, the villas are beautiful beyond compare. A short walk will bring you to ancient Etruscan ruins and burial mounds and a river with a small dam. Spectacular scenery abounds! Imagine how much better it is with a figure model added to the scenery.
Not many workshops offer model releases. This is one! The photographic instruction will include aspects of composition, panorama imaging and stitching, workflow management, and HDR (High Dynamic Range) correction.
Bring your portfolio and laptop computer. This workshop will be conducted in English.
Meals, lodging and ground transportation is all included. You will be responsible to arrive at the Florence train station where we will be picked up by our Italian hosts.
